Rogelio "Roy" Perez Salazar, 64, of Blanchard, died Friday, September 27, 2019, at his home. The son of Ignacio Perez Reyes and Catalina Salazar Rivas, he was born July 11, 1955, in M'zquiz, Coahuila, Mexico.

Roy married Karen Sue Shipley on August 6, 1977, in Newcastle, Oklahoma. He worked for many years as a farmhand and loved being outdoors. In his spare time, Roy enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Alicia Perez; a granddaughter, Mila Mae Perez; an infant sister, Maria Guadalupe Perez; a brother, Ignacio Perez; and a sister-in-law, Sharon Perez.

Roy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Perez of Blanchard; one son, Kevin Perez and his wife, Jillian, of Blanchard; two granddaughters, A.J. Perez and Rooney Perez, both of Blanchard; one sister, Maria Guadalupe Buentello and husband, Enrique, of Texas; three brothers, Juan Perez of Blanchard, Oscar Perez and wife, Dora, of Moore; and Marcos Perez and wife, Linda, of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews; and any other loved ones and friends.

Graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
