Barbara Ann Nunn, 78, of Newcastle, died Monday, December 28, 2015, at her home. The daughter of Ralph Lister Thompson and Zita Clementine Buersmeyer, she was born February 3, 1937 in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Barbara married Everett Richard Nunn on May 13, 1955 in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the Newcastle Heights Church of Christ. Barbara’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ralph L. “Sonny” Thompson and Richard Thompson.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 60 years, Everett Nunn, of Newcastle; three daughters, Kathleen Little and her husband, Richard, of Newcastle, Susan Corbin and her husband, Randy, of Newcastle and Rebecca Cuellar and her husband, Lloyd, of Newcastle; one son, Rick Nunn of Newcastle; six grandchildren, Emily Blakley and her husband, Stephen, of Noble, Cameron Corbin and his wife, Sara, of Newcastle, Randall Corbin and his wife, Taylor, of Newcastle, Summer Lamb and her husband, Brent, of Norman, Brian Little and his wife, Amy, of Texas, and Teresa Judkins and her husband, Shawn, of Newcastle; eleven great grandchildren, Corbin, Bridger, Grady, Greyson, Beckham, Conner, Brayden, John-Auston, Wylie, Landin, and Andi Jane; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Everett Richard Nunn, 89, of Newcastle, died Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Norman, Oklahoma. The son of Glenn Otto Nunn and Edith Mae (Couch) Nunn, he was born March 31, 1935, in Oklahoma City.
Everett married Barbara Ann Thompson on May 13, 1955, in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1953 and worked as a meat packer at Wilson Foods for over 35 years. Everett was a Golden Glove Boxer, in his younger years. He was member of The Newcastle Heights Church of Christ. In his spare time, Everett enjoyed working in his yard, planting flowers, and taking care of his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Barbara Nunn; two brothers, Robert Nunn and Glenn Nunn; and two sisters, Glennalee Andro, and Judy Pierce.
Everett is survived by his three daughters, Kathleen Little and her husband, Richard, of Newcastle, Susan Corbin and her husband, Randy, of Newcastle and Rebecca Cuellar and her husband, Lloyd, of Newcastle; one son, Rick Nunn of Newcastle; six grandchildren, Emily Blakley and her husband, Stephen of Newcastle, Cameron Corbin and his wife, Sara, of Newcastle, Randall Corbin and his wife, Tiffany, of Newcastle, Summer Lamb and her husband, Brent, of Norman, Brian Little and his wife, Amy, of Oklahoma City, and Teresa Judkins and her husband, Shawn, of Newcastle; twelve great-grandchildren, Corbin, Bridger, Grady, Greyson, Beckham, Bodhi, Conner, Brayden, John-Austin, Wylie, Landin, and Andi Jane; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
