Glenda Susanne "Susie" Maeder, 55, of Blanchard, died Sunday, October 13, 2019, in Oklahoma City with her family by her side. She was born May 11, 1964, in Oklahoma City to Melvin Glenn Jackson and Norma Arlene (Holman) Jackson.

Susie married Daniel Boyd Maeder on August 25, 1990, in Wheatland, Oklahoma. She was a member of Cole Baptist Church, where she played the piano and loved to sing. Susie worked as the city clerk for the City of Blanchard for the past 11 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening in her flowerbeds and working in her pool yard. Susie loved making a beautiful home for her family to enjoy and watching OU football. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family. Susie was a devoted wife, a loving mother, sister, and a caring nana. She had a special place in her heart for her friends and loved them deeply. She was a great comforter to all, whether we needed it or not. The light she leaves behind will be an inspiration to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Jackson; one son, Nathan Johnson; a brother, Terry Castoe; and her sister, Kathy Deal.

Susie is survived by her mother, Norma Jackson of Mustang; her husband, Dan Maeder of Blanchard; three daughters, Amanda Warrior of Ada, Summer Ray and husband, Daniel, of Blanchard, and Mercee Maeder of Blanchard; two sons, Tyler Maeder and Jaemen Maeder, both of Blanchard; three grandchildren, Zoey Ray, Liam Ray, and Avyn Johnson; four brothers, Perry Jackson, Charlie Jackson, Larry Castoe, and Steve Castoe; and countless other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 18, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
