Lois Aletha Parrish Burris

Lois Aletha Parrish Burris, 95, died January 6, 2000. She was born April 19, 1904 in Lone Elm, Oklahoma, but was raised in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Evelyn Soward of Glendale, California and Newcastle, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lois was proud of her Choctaw heritage and was #918 on the Choctaw Indian Roll. She was a member of P.E.O., Kachina Republican Womens Club and Oasis Womens Club in Phoenix.
Lois was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Jack Burris of Phoenix and step-daughter, Eileen Dunning Wesnidge.
Lois graduated from Blanchard Elementary and High School. She attended Oklahoma Womens College in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Services will be Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Blanchard. Rev. Ray Sims officiating with interment following the service at the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.
