Doyle Lemons, 66, of Blanchard, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 5, 2013 in Oklahoma City. The son of William Doyle and Pauline (Vandaveer) Lemons, he was born September 5, 1946 in Oklahoma City.

Gary graduated from Blanchard High School in 1964. He married Florence Lillian Shoemake on March 18, 1967 in Blanchard, Oklahoma. He worked as a welder at Tinker AFB until his retirement in 1996. Gary was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, golf, and gardening but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Christopher Michael Lemons, and one brother, Charles Lemons.

He is survived by his wife, Florence Lemons of Blanchard; daughters, Melisa Dubbs and husband, Jeff, of Blanchard and Khristen Hines and husband, Vollie, of Blanchard; one granddaughter, five grandsons, and one more on the way; and many other beloved family members and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 8, 2013 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Blanchard. Interment will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
