(permission granted)

Bonnie Nell Kilby, 84, of Blanchard, fought a good fight and finished the race to enter into Glory and be in the presence of her Lord and back in the arms of her beloved husband on Friday, May 15, 2015 at her home. The daughter of Okko John Auwen and Buna Laura (Russell) Auwen, she was born October 5, 1930, in rural McClain County, Oklahoma. Bonnie married the love of her life, Loyd James Kilby, on August 14, 1948, in Lewisville, Texas. He preceded her in death in 2008. Bonnie longed for the day that they would be together again, together forever. The love that they shared was beyond description and grew deeper and stronger every day. They were soulmates and best friends for over 60 years.

Bonnie worked for many years as a cook in various restaurants. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Cole and faithfully read her Bible through each year for the last 50 plus years. In her spare time, Bonnie enjoyed working in her yard, tending to her flowers, and crocheting. She always had a smile for everyone she met and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loyd James Kilby; and her brother, Vernon Auwen.

Bonnie is survived by one son, James Kilby and wife, Linda, of Norman; twin daughters, Sherri Pickard and husband, Bobby, of Blanchard, and Terri Thomas of Norman; nine grandchildren, Amy Sherwood and husband, Cody, of Blanchard, Diana Chapman and husband, Jason, of Oklahoma City, Joel Pickard and wife, Amber, of Moore, Katie Mulkey and husband, Kyle, of Blanchard, Denae Pickard of Blanchard, Aubrey Thomas of Norman, Reagan Thomas of Norman, Wil Pickard of Blanchard, and Chloe Thomas of Norman; three great grandchildren, Cayson Sherwood, Cambry Sherwood, and Alexander Chapman; her cherished companion and pet chihuahua, CoCo; and many, many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Cole. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
