Jimmie Dale Hunter passed away peacefully in his home in Moore, Oklahoma on Friday, May 29, 2020.

He was born March 14, 1939 in Ada, Oklahoma to Robert Ridley Hunter and Alta Mae (Sawyers) Hunter. He was a 1957 graduate of Stonewall High School. He was married to Sharon Francis Phillips for a short period. During their union they had two daughters together, Tandala Elaina and Tonya Renee. He served as a pilot in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and flew standby during the Cuban Missile Crisis, but was never activated. He enjoyed piloting for years after his time in the service. Jim then worked at Tinker Air Force base in Civil Services where he met his beloved wife, Mary Ruth (Black) Hunter. Jim and Mary were married until Mary passed in 2008. Together, they ran a successful business in Del City, Oklahoma, Jim and Mary’s T.V. and Appliance for 25 years. They enjoyed raising animals on their farm and spending time with their family and friends. Jim was a successful business man, maintaining several rental properties throughout the metro area. Jim spent the latter years of his life attending family activities, eating good food, traveling and enjoying the company of his loving companion of the last ten years, Ms. Vicky Hysell, who held a very special place in his heart.,
 

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alta Hunter, his brothers, Edward, Ray, R.C. and Kenneth Hunter, his wife Mary Ruth Hunter and his daughter Tonya Renee Allen.
 

Jim is survived by his daughter Tandy Parr and her husband Randy of Ada, Oklahoma, his step-children Ronnie Stinnett of Del City, Oklahoma, Tory Stinnett of Norman, Oklahoma, Lisa Jones and her husband Richard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and his sister in law, Norma Catherine Hunter of Del City, Oklahoma. Jim was blessed with 23 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
 

Pallbearers include grandsons: Michael Allen, Josh Allen, Zachary Parr, Nathan Stinnett, Chance Stinnett, Johnny Stinnett, Jeremiah Stinnett, Kenneth Stinnett, and Michael Stinnett.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Thomas Hunter, Robert Leroy Hunter, Marion Byrd, Dewey Morgan, and Daniel Tenny.
 

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 4, 2020, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. 

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
