Cecil Lavell “Dauber” Hill, 81, of Washington, Oklahoma died Thursday, March 27, 2014. The son of the Gordon Joseph Hill and Mary (Terrell) Hill, he was born May 7, 1932 in Black Oak, Arkansas.

Cecil married Alpha Mae McKinney on December 1, 1951 in Blanchard. He served for 20 years as an avionics technician in the U.S. Air Force where he received the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. He achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant before retiring. He then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service in Oklahoma City as a mail processing equipment mechanic and retired after 8 years. Cecil was a member of the Air Force Sergeant’s Association and First Baptist Church of Blanchard. He enjoyed electronics, gardening, woodworking, and raising cows and pigs. Cecil loved spending time with his grandchildren who affectionately called him “Grandpa Beep Beep.”

He was preceded in death by his parents in 2006 and his wife, Alpha Mae Hill, in 1988.

He is survived by his three daughters, Sherry Hill, of Norman, Dana Hill of Byars, and Kathy Myers and her husband, Jeffrey, of Mustang; his eight grandchildren, Timothy Trautman of Norman, Anthony Trautman of Seattle, Washington, Jennifer Choate and her husband, Randy, of Ada, Michelle Jellison and her husband, Daniel, of Norman, Christina Blaylock of Mustang, Stephanie Davis and her husband, Anthony, of Mustang, Brett Myers of Mustang, and Blake Myers of Mustang; his great grandchildren, Levi Trautman, Tanner Melton, Hunter Melton, Savannah Yingling, Ashlyn Yingling-Beckham, Kelsey Waters, Kaitlyn Waters, Cadance Hallman, Sean Davis, Ethan Davis, Lily Davis, and Isabela Davis; his three brothers, William C. Hill of Choctaw, R.J. Hill and his wife, Margie, of Sulphur, and Alfred D. Hill and his wife, Peggy, of Blanchard; his sister, Alma Jo Hughes of Lindsay; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
