Earl Leroy Hicks, 75, of Bridge Creek, died Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at his home. The son of James Lester Hicks and Ruby Viola (Nance) Hicks, he was born November 17, 1940 in Oklahoma City.

 He married Nancy Carol Taylor on May 6, 1958, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Earl served in the U.S. Army Reserves and worked for many years as a Drywall Contractor. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, building things, drag racing cars, demolition derby races, and turkey shoots. His greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Hicks; a brother, Leon Hicks; a sister, Gertrude Pinkston; and a brother-in-law, Clarence Phillips.

 He is survived by his four daughters, Paula Davis, of Midwest City, Shellie Jones and her husband, Bill, of Bridge Creek, Karrie Langford and her husband, Kevin, of Bridge Creek, and Angela Wimberly of Bridge Creek; two sons, Robert Hicks of Bridge Creek and Stony Hicks of Bridge Creek; ten grandchildren, Eric McKinley of Blanchard, Dustin Jones and his wife, Tarra, of Newcastle, Ashlee Lee and her husband, Justin, of Bridge Creek, Mindi Chappell of Midwest City, Cody Davis of Oklahoma City, and Karisa Woods and her husband, Matt, of Bridge Creek, Bradley Langford and his wife, Meagan, of Bridge Creek, Brandon Langford of Bridge Creek, Nathanael Hicks of Guthrie, and Morgan Wimberly of Oklahoma City; sixteen great grandchildren, Aiden, Kylee, Dominic, Ariyana, Katelynn, Elizabeth, Abigail, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Devin, Connor, Carson, Allie, James, Berkley, and Trystin; two sisters, Bessie Phillips of Arkansas and Wanda Trumbly and her husband, Virgil, of Blanchard; one brother, R.C. Hicks and his wife, Brenda, of Jones; a sister-in-law, Beverly Hicks of Pauls Valley; and many other loved ones and friends.

 Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
