William Munroe Gunter, 83, of Blanchard, died Monday, April 11, 2016 in Blanchard. The son of John Milton Gunter and Ollie Lee (Williams) Gunter, he was born January 14, 1933 in Norman, Oklahoma.

William married Anna Trotter on March 14, 1954 in Oklahoma City. He worked for many years as a stone mason. In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering and working on cars. He also owned and operated a salvage yard in Blanchard for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Gunter; two sisters, and three brothers.

William is survived by two sons, Roger Gunter and Lynda Hamilton of Blanchard, and Dean Gunter and Connie Brown of Blanchard; four grandchildren, Josh Gunter and Brook, of Ninnekah, Amber Brumbaugh and Cody, of Mustang, Lyssa Veldhousen and Adam, of Oklahoma City, and Rebecca Parker and Walter, of Oklahoma City; three great grandchildren, Eli, Grayson, and Kendyn; one brother, Bill Gunter and his wife, Peggy, of Blanchard; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 13, 2016, in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
