Johnnie Nadine Gilmore, 91, of Blanchard, died, Saturday, February 2, 2019, in Chickasha. The daughter of John Elmer Coggins and Olvis Mora (McKinley) Coggins, she was born December 30, 1927, in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

Nadine was a longtime member of the Blanchard First United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women. She was instrumental in helping start the Newcastle United Methodist Church. Earlier in her life, she served as a Brownie Troop Leader and also opened her home and her heart by serving as a foster parent. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, making arts and crafts, and gardening. Nadine was an avid reader, and sometimes read several books each week. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Kenneth Coggins.

Nadine is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Wilson and her husband, Don, of Blanchard, and Thia Abernathy and her husband, Alton, of Weatherford, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kristina Allen of Blanchard, Stephanie Ashby and husband, Tyler, of Jones, Melissa Palmer and husband, Justin, of Blanchard, Kelly Peterson of Florida, Kimberly Abernathy, Krista Abernathy, and Jonathan Abernathy, all of Texas; ten great grandchildren, Lucas, Emily, Zackary, Natalie, Cayman, Brayden, Kendall, Kimberlyn, Brody, and Mackenzie; one brother, Wayne Coggins of Oregon; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard.

Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
