Joseph Fred Dunagan, Sr., 95, of Newcastle, died May 12, 2013 in Oklahoma City. The son of Condy Monroe and Mamie (Elliot) Dunagan, he was born December 5, 1917 in Stratford, Oklahoma. Fred was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. He worked for Armor Meat Packing Company for many years as a security guard and later owned and operated Dunagan’s Auto Salvage Yard in Newcastle. He married Frances Autry in the summer of 1950 and they have made their home in Newcastle since 1958. Frances preceded him in death on November 28, 2010. Fred enjoyed participating at the Newcastle Senior Citizens and was a member of the NRA. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother and his two sisters. Fred is survived by his sons, Joe Dunagan of Newcastle, Reverend Dale Dunagan and his wife, Tonya, of Ada, and Paul Dunagan of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Robert, Renyae, Cory and Matthew; great grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, De’Andre Jones and Cole Smith; and many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service for Fred will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. His son, Reverend Dale Dunagan, will officiate with interment to follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Frances Louzella Autry Dunagan

 

Frances Louzella Autry was born June 12, 1925 to Earl and Bessie Autry. 

She married  Joseph Fred Dunagan  in the summer of 1950 and they had made their home in Newcastle since 1958.

To this union was born 3 sons:  Joe Dunagan , Reverend Dale Dunagan  and Paul Dunagan.
