Bernice (Wigley) Chapman, 69, of Blanchard died September 4, 2013 at her home. The daughter of John Ellis and Della (Wilson) Wigley, she was born October 28, 1943 in Blanchard, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Blanchard High School in 1961. She married Wayne Chapman in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Bernice worked for many years as an administrative assistant and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cole. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Ellis and Jack Wigley; and one sister, Pat Hale.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Chapman of Blanchard; two daughters, Tammy Thompson and husband, Mike, of Norman and Pam Chapman and husband, Jacob Stanard, of Cole; two stepsons, Mickey Chapman of Blanchard and Rocky Chapman of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two stepdaughters, Gay Chapman of Blanchard and Nikki Farrar and husband, Troy, of Crescent; two grandchildren, Brandon Stanard and Jaxon Stanard; five step grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren; brother, Jim Wigley of Blanchard; sisters, Billie Effinger of Oklahoma City, Lucille Stokes of Purcell, Betty Hyde of Norman and Sharon Ashford and husband, Der, of Dibble; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
