James Oscar “Jim” Chambers, 92, of Blanchard, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his home.
The son of William Oscar Chambers and Ella Magdalene (Bell) Chambers, Jim was born March 2, 1934, in Blanchard.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Korean War.
Jim married Mary Louise McCraw on March 26, 1955.
He worked as a professor at OSU Tech where he taught engineering and HVAC for twenty-one years. He also owned and operated T & J Mechanical and Jim’s Heat and Air in Blanchard for many years. He was a member of ASHRAE.
In his spare time, Jim enjoyed going to garage sales, hunting, fishing, camping, and water skiing at Lake Murray. He was a great mechanic and could build anything from scratch. Jim also had his private pilot license.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Chambers; one grandson, Anthony Chambers; and five sisters.
Jim is survived by three sons, Jim Chambers and his wife, Debbie, of Mustang, Tim Chambers of Oklahoma City, and Kelly Chambers of Norman; four grandchildren, Chris Chambers, Jay Chambers, Allen Chambers, and Andrew Chambers; four great grandchildren, Colton, Keleigh, Hayden, and Madilynn; and two great-great granddaughters, Haven and Evelyn; and many other loved ones and friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
