Cheryl Lynn Carter, 45, of Seminole, died Thursday, September 1, 2016, in Seminole. The daughter of Herbert Gene Defibaugh and Judith Carol (Boutwell) Defibaugh, she was born November 18, 1970 in Oklahoma City.

Cheryl owned and operated Carter Insurance Agency in Seminole for the last six years. She was a member of the 8th Street Community Holiness Church in Okemah and the Seminole Chamber of Commerce. She also served on the Board of Directors for the Family Resource Center in Seminole. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoyed participating in charity work and supporting local law enforcement. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Cheryl is survived by one son, Matt Garrett and his wife, Charlene, of Seminole; one daughter, Sara Garrett, of Tuttle; her father, Gene Defibaugh, of Blanchard; two sisters, Reneé Allen, of Texas and Sheila Walker and her husband, Russell, of El Reno; one brother, Ronald Defibaugh, of Seminole; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home in Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
