Betty Jo Brown, 80, of Blanchard, died Thursday, September 24, 2015, at her home. She was born December 26, 1934 in Corsicana, Texas.

Betty married Donald Dick Brown on December 12, 1952, in Oklahoma City. She worked as a home health caregiver for several years until her health no longer allowed. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cole and taught Sunday School for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed genealogy research, scrapbooking, and photography. Everyone loved her pies and she enjoyed baking them for her family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, William J. Bowlin; her mother and stepfather, Hazel and Howard Kimble; two daughters, Donna Ford and Kathleen Black; and one brother, Bill Bowlin.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Dick Brown, of Blanchard; one daughter, Jackie McDonald, and her husband, Dale, of Moore; two sons, Perry Brown, of Oklahoma City and Jimmy Brown of Blanchard; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Karrol Davison and her husband, Harold, of Florida; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 28, 2015, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery. Donald Dick Brown, 88, of Tuttle, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, at his home. The son of Donald Francis Brown and Faye (Bowser) Brown, he was born January 23, 1930 in Amarillo, Texas.

He served in the U.S. Marines and then worked for many years in the trucking industry. Dick married Betty Jo Bowlin on December 12, 1952 in Oklahoma City and she preceded him in death on September 24, 2015 after nearly 63 years of marriage. He was a member of the Cole Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for many years. When he was younger, Dick was a talented boxer and was a Golden Gloves Champion in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, and California. He passed his love of boxing to his sons and spent many years as their trainer. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two daughters, Donna Ford and Kathy Black.

Dick is survived by one daughter, Jackie McDonald and her husband, Dale, of Moore; two sons, Jimmy Brown of Tuttle and Perry Brown of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, Mike Elliott of Oklahoma City, Melody Grimes of Oklahoma City, Joey Grimes of Oklahoma City, Clint Davidson of Missouri, Talisha Fierro of Norman, Daniel Brown of Norman, Seth Brown of Texas, and Justin Brown of Missouri; ten great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Blanchard Cemetery.
