Services for Preston Lynn Roberts Jr. will be Friday, June 1, at noon, in the Green Country Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Loyd Bickle and Mike Rider. Serving as pall bearers are Eric Roberts, Daniel Gourd, Louis Dreadfulwater, Dale Dushane, David Harris and Cecil Weeks. Honorary pall bearers are Blaine Bailey, Vann Blakeman, Loddie Mnich, Gary Sutton and Bruce Page. Interment will follow in the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Preston was born Sept. 21, 1948, in Pryor, the son of Preston Sr. and Kathleen M. (Goins) Roberts. He passed away on May 29, 2012, in Muskogee. Preston served in Vietnam, and was a graduate of NSU with a Master of Science.

Although he loved to tell stories, coonhunting, noodling catfish, and fighting chickens, his most enjoyable moments were spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents. He is survived by daughters, Jolene Roberts, and Lilly Gourd and husband Daniel, all of Tahlequah; son, Eric “Jack” Roberts of Tahlequah; step-daughters, Stephanie Leija of Tahlequah, Jennifer Smith of Spavinaw; step-son, Louis Dreadfulwater; sisters, Kay (Roberts) Rose of Langley, Helen (Roberts) Paige and husband Bruce of Adair; four nieces, three nephews, and 15 grandchildren.
