John Dee Grubbs
February 25, 1932 ~ February 28, 2023
91 Years Old
John Dee Grubbs, 91 of Spavinaw, Oklahoma took his first breath of life on February 25th, 1932, in Pensacola, Oklahoma. John left this world to join family and friends in eternal rest on February 28th 2023 at his home in Spavinaw, Oklahoma.
John enjoyed life and all it had to offer and never missed a moment to enjoy time with family and friends. He can be fondly remembered saying to anyone who came to his home "Come on in we will treat you so many ways you'll have to like one of them." John was a family man, he loved his wife with a passion no words could describe, they were married in 1973 and shared 50 years of beautiful life and love together.
John loved to hunt and fish and do all things outdoors. He worked with his hands all his life in carpentry and anything handy, it could be said he was a jack of all trades. Most of all he worked hard to provide for his family, but one of his favorite past times was sitting at the bar in his home having a tati with friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents one sibling, Sylvia, and one daughter Shelly.
Those left to cherish the memory of a wonderful man include his wife of the home Florenea, a son Randall, grandchildren Mikeal and Krista, one great grandchild Leah, a brother Austin and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family has entrusted John's love and care to the staff of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Langley, Oklahoma. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday March 3, 2023 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake chapel from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, a graveside funeral service will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
