Sherry Sue Hudson
July 13, 1947 - June 25, 2025
Adair
Sherry Sue Hudson, 77, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2025, at her home in the presence of family. She was born on July 13, 1947, in Memphis, Texas, to Jimmy and Jean (Ivy) Stinnett. On November 30, 1962, Sherry married the love of her life, Johnny Hudson, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For the next 6 decades, Sherry's life revolved around the unwavering support and loving care she provided for Johnny, making their love an inspiration to all who knew them. The two shared a deep bond and a life full of love, adventure, and devotion. In their younger years, Sherry and Johnny were actively involved in the Enduro Motorcycle Racing Series, traveling together and making lifelong memories in the racing community. Sherry worked for over 30 years as a trusted tax professional at H&R Block in the Tulsa area. Her career reflected her sharp mind, dedication, and commitment to helping others. After retirement, she and Johnny embraced their love of travel. They took many cross country road trips, some with family, as well as cruising to many destinations. She was a woman of many joys - watching game shows, fishing, shopping, and tending to her flowers. Her greatest joy, however, came from giving to others. Sherry's generous heart touched many people by opening her home and giving what was needed. Sherry's happiest days were when she was surrounded by her family.
Sherry is survived by her devoted husband, Johnny Hudson of the home; her son, Tim Hudson and wife Andrea of Adair, OK; grandchildren, Mason Hudson and wife Kelsey of Pryor, OK, Allison Branch and husband Anthony of Tulsa, OK, and Levi Hudson and wife Lacy of Vinita, OK; and great-grandchildren, Kohen, Emily, Mason, KayLeigh, Colton, Cori, Jed, and Josie. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Jean Stinnett, and her brothers, Steve and Mike Stinnett. Sherry's warmth, strength, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025 in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church with Brother Keith McGowan officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery with Mason Hudson, Levi Hudson, Tony Branch, Chuck Hudson, Kip Whiteley, and Donny Willis serving as casket bearers.
