Funeral services for Betty Haner, 77, of Bowring will be held on Friday August 3 at 2:00 PM at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor. Chaplain Mark Bright will officiate with burial following at Haner-Adair Cemetery in Locust Grove. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Pryor.

Betty was born on May 23, 1935 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Joseph Wilson and Letha Ann (Sullivan) Brown. She passed away on July 30, 2012 at her home in Bowring.

Betty grew up and attended school in Coffeyville, Kansas. She left school at a young age to care for her mother who became ill.

Betty was married to the love of her life, Ray Haner, on December 25, 1953. From their union came two children. They made their home in Bowring for the past 45 years where she was a loving wife and mother. She loved her husband dearly, and enjoyed baking and cooking for him and loved spending time with her family. In 2008 Ray preceded her in death; she continued living in Bowring. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and has always loved camping. She was a hardworking wife, mother and grandmother who would do anything for her family.

She is survived by her daughter Carrie Jo Black of Ochelata; son Joe Haner and wife Jennifer of Bartlesville; 4 grandchildren Whitney Swanson, Sierra Black, Nicole Newby and Ashley Baxter and one great granddaughter Kyrie Baxter; two brothers William Brown and wife Marge of Coffeyville and Jim Mason of Dewey and one sister Lillian Yates of Coffeyville, Kansas along with several nieces and nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and four brothers.
