July 27, 1976 - November 4, 2016
Jeri Lynn Leach was born on July 27, 1976, in Jay, OK, to Jerry & Velma (Vann) Tagg. She departed this life on Friday, November 4, 2016, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 40 years, 3 months & 8 days.
Growing up, Jeri Lynn attended schools in Kansas, OK. She had lived most of her life in Kenwood, OK, having lived a short time in the Locust Grove & Leach areas. On July 4, 1999, at the Cedar Grove Church in Locust Grove, Jeri Lynn & Joshua Leach were united in marriage. They had been married for over 17 years, but had been together since July 4 of 1993.
Jeri Lynn enjoyed having yard sales as well has going to them. When she was able, she enjoyed playing volleyball & softball with family & friends. Jeri Lynn loved sewing & making quilts in her spare time. She liked to go hunting for wild onions & crawdads. Jeri Lynn treasured spending time with her family & friends. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Jeri Lynn is survived by: her husband: Josh Leach of the home; 1 son: Sampson "Lil Sam" Leach of Kenwood, OK; 1 daughter: Tamica Leach of Kenwood, OK; 1 grandson: Sampson "Baby Sam" Leach; parents: Jerry & Velma Tagg of Kenwood, OK; 2 brothers: Kelby Tagg & Bull Tagg, both of Kenwood, OK; 5 sisters: Carmellita Vann of Kenwood, OK, Katie Phillips & husband David of Jay, OK, Tonya Reyes & husband Jorge of Jay, OK, Tina Vann & Josh Turner of Locust Grove, OK, Matilda Jo Tagg & Victor of Jay, OK, father-in-law: Sampson Leach of Locust Grove, OK; 1 brother-in-law: Sampson Leach, Jr. of Locust Grove, OK; 4 sisters-in-law: Tamara Osage & husband Tracey of Locust Grove, OK, Sammi Leach of Locust Grove, OK, Mary Smith & husband Chase of Adair, OK, Stephanie Sitsler & husband Josh of Locust Grove, OK; Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives & a host of friends.
Jeri Lynn was preceded in death by: her grandparents: Mart & Bessie Tagg; Aunt: Betty Jean Tagg; & her mother-in-law: Mina "La" Sue Leach.
Wake services were held 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Monday, November 7, 2016, at the Locust Grove Funeral Home Chapel, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Cedar Grove Church in Locust Grove, Oklahoma. Reverend Sampson Leach officiated. Interment followed at the McClain Cemetery in Locust Grove. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
