Mary Carol Hoffman passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026 surrounded by her family and loved ones in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
Born to Floy Caldwell Barber on October 30th, 1935, Mary grew up and attended school in Magness, Arkansas. After graduating Mary moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she worked at Macy's Tea Room for many years while putting herself through business college graduating with high honors.
She and her family moved to Pryor, Oklahoma embarking on a journey for a better life. She soon became a successful business owner opening Pryor Farm & Ranch store in 1974. With hard work and demands for farming needs in surrounding areas, in 1989 she extended her business to Muskogee opening another Farm & Ranch store.
In 1998, Mary was ready for retirement and rest. She loved to travel and she loved her family. She loved watching Buddy (Kaylee) every day and seeing what trouble they could get into for the day. Mary was an avid OKC thunder fan and looked forward to watching every game with her son, Stuart.
She is preceded in death by her mother Floy Caldwell Lake, brother Kenneth Barber and sister Virginia Burns.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Stuart Hoffman and wife Ann of Muskogee and Todd Hoffman of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Kaylee Ross and husband Cody of Muskogee, Andrea Hienson and husband Taylor of Eldorado, Kansas and Candice Thorburn and husband Travis of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; ten great grandchildren, Matthew, Ashten, Mackenzie, Preston, Lyndon, Sophia, Teagan, Crosby, Lil Ivy and newest baby Levi; her brother, Clifford Barber and wife Nancy of Pryor; her sister, Mary Jo McDaniel of Grand Prairie, Texas and many nieces, nephews, greats and a host of friends.
