Lawrence Edward Guinan
January 23, 1939 - October 4, 2025
Lawrence Edward Guinan was born on January 23, 1939, in Winfield, Kansas, to Henry and Clara (Wichman) Guinan. Lawrence moved to Mayes County as a child, and lived in Chouteau and Pryor. He attended local schools and graduated from Pryor High School. Following his education, Lawrence became a member of the Oklahoma National Guard. He married Latricia Jones in November of 1959. He later married Bobbie McBeath in March of 2003. Lawrence was employed as a welder for American Airlines for several years prior to his retirement. Away from work, Lawrence enjoyed listening to music, singing, dancing, doing yard work, and serving as an usher at St. Anne Catholic Church. Above all, Lawrence enjoyed being around his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lawrence Edward Guinan departed this life on October 04, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 86.
Lawrence is survived by three sons: Joseph Guinan, Christopher Guinan, and Steven Willis; daughter-in-law, Selene Willis; sister, Clara May Duncan; eleven grandchildren: Gennifer, Gerald, Dustin, Kyle, William, April, Julia, Brandy, David, Amber, and Nathan; twelve great-grandchildren: Hailey, Justen, Kylee, Amelia, Madison, Maxwell, Gavin, Claire, Kailey, Christopher, Grayson, and Kyndall; one great-great grandchild, Serenity; and several nieces and nephews.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Clara Guinan; son, James Guinan; daughter, Leslie Dyer; wife, Bobbie Guinan; brothers: Lloyd Guinan, Jack Guinan, and Harry Ray Guinan; sister, Mary Taylor.
