Brenda Gail Griggs
February 14, 1952 - December 19, 2025<> Tulsa
Brenda Gail Griggs, age 73, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Tulsa. Brenda was born on February 14, 1952, in Pryor, Oklahoma, to Noah Paul Griggs and Bertha Audrey (Nichols) Griggs. She built her life in Tulsa, where she raised her family and poured her heart into the people she loved. Brenda was the kind of woman who made a house feel like home. As a devoted homemaker, she took pride in caring for her family and found joy in the everyday moments that mattered most. She had a creative soul and loved crafting, especially crochet and making flower arrangements. Saturdays often meant football, cheering on OSU, and her love for animals was as steady as her love for her family. Nothing meant more to Brenda than her children and grandchildren. She treasured time spent with them—whether it was simply being together, sharing stories, or watching them grow. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved them deeply.
She is survived by her son, Josh Risner and wife Kelly, of Tulsa; her daughter, Cassie Risner-Baluh, of Tulsa; her beloved grandchildren, Noah, Keegan, and Joli; her brother, Jim Griggs and wife Linda, of Kennesaw, Georgia; and her sister, Shirley Willis, of Beaumont, Texas.
Visitation services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor. Burial will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery. To leave her family a message, please visit her Tribute Wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to local pet adoption centers in the Tulsa area or to the animal charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.
Brenda will be remembered for her gentle heart, her creativity, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. Her love will live on through her family, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
