Joe Faught was born October 9, 1936 in Colcord, Oklahoma to Joseph E. and Opal (Lane) Faught Sr. He departed this life on September 19, 2012 at his home at the age of 75 years 11 months and 10 days.

Joe graduated from Inola High School. He then served in the United States Navy for four years; he was aboard the USS Preston. Joe was married to Catherine King and welcomed her daughter and son into the family. Joe and Cathy retired to Lake Hudson near Salina and enjoyed fishing and working on their home "on the hill".
