Paul B. Thomas
May 28, 1919 - September 21, 2006

Paul B. Thomas was born May 28, 1919 in Adair , Oklahoma to Bert Alexander and Evelyn (Dunham) Thomas. He departed this life on September 21, 2006 at the age of 87 years 3 months and 24 days.

Paul was a native Oklahoman and attended school in Adair where he graduated with the class of 1937. He was a Probation and Parole Officer for the State of Oklahoma, he also was a Police Officer for the City of Los Angeles for 17 years. Paul was a veteran of World War II serving with the Army Fighting 69th, Rainbow Division, in Germany , under General George Patton. He was a member of the Adair Christian Church, Pryor Elks Lodge, Pryor DAV, Cherokee Nation and Cherokee Elders. Paul was very proud of his Cherokee heritage and was very active with the Cherokee Elders. Paul along with other Cherokee Elders was instrumental in starting The Rainbow House in Locust Grove. He was married to Mozelle Sparks on August 20, 1964 in Pryor. Paul enjoyed fishing, raising horses and gardening. His family was a very important part of Paul’s life and he will be missed by many.

Paul is survived by his wife Mozelle of the home, daughter Susan Wolf and husband Don of Salina, son John Thomas of Redondo Beach, California, daughter Sherry Wilcox and husband Mike of Tahlequah, daughter Cathy Robbins and husband Jim of Claremore, grandchildren Joell Sepulveda and husband Adrian of Lomita, California, Michelle Figueroa and husband Walter of Alabaster, Alabama, Nathan Wilcox and wife Angela of Houston, Texas, sister Mary Lou England and husband Mayes of Claremore, niece Joan Smith and husband Russ of Pryor. Paul was preceded in death by his parents Bert Alexander and Evelyn (Dunham) Thomas, 1 brother Gene and 1 sister Emma Jane.
