Wayne Allen Stanley
February 8, 1947 - May 7, 2026
Owasso

Wayne Allen Stanley, 79, of Owasso, Oklahoma, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born to Monroe Stanley and Mary (McAfee) Stanley. Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 27 years. During his distinguished military career, he served as a Radar Intercept Officer flying the F4 Phantom for 23 years. Wayne was a Top Gun graduate and a Weapons and Tactical Instructor (WTI) for 17 years. His dedication, leadership, and service reflected his deep commitment to both his country and those he served alongside.In addition to his military accomplishments, Wayne earned two master's degrees in economics. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course, especially at The Greens in Owasso, and was an avid reader of The Wall Street Journal, Tom Clancy novels, and W.E.B. Griffin novels. Wayne also found great joy in woodworking and working with his hands, always appreciating the value of craftsmanship and hard work.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Kay Stanley, of the home; his brother Bob Stanley and Sandi Stanley, of Chester Virginia; Brother Dave Stanley and Jill Stanley of Pryor, Oklahoma; Brother-in-law Bob Curry of Catoosa Oklahoma; and nephew, Robert Stanley and wife Stephanie of Vinita, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe Stanley and Mary (McAfee) Stanley. Wayne will be remembered for his service, intelligence, strong work ethic, and the love he had for his family and country.
