Norma Louise Hurley
August 14, 1930 - December 3, 2025
Norma Louise Hurley was born on August 14, 1930, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, to Homer and Helen (Johnson) Nave. She was a lifetime resident of Mayes County, and graduated from Salina High School in 1948. That same year, Norma married Emmett Hurley on May 29, 1948, in Pryor, Oklahoma. Norma worked at their family owned laundry service in Salina, before working as a clerk for Beggs Pharmacy and also in the cafeteria of Pryor's Lincoln Elementary School.
Norma was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Pryor, and had served as their pianist for fifty years. Norma was a homebody who enjoyed sewing, quilting, crossword puzzles, gospel singing, adult coloring books, and watching Judge Judy.
Norma Hurley departed this life on December 03, 2025, in Claremore, Oklahoma, at the age of 95. She is survived by her son, Larry Hurley and his wife, Kathy; daughter, Debbie Moseley and her partner, Barry Moydell, daughter, Denise Dunham; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Helen Nave; her husband, Emmett Henry Hurley; son, Kevin Cole Hurley; brothers: Bucky and Leo Nave; and sister, Annette Statham.
