Robert Louis Hamill
August 15, 1936 - February 18, 2025

Robert Louis "Bob" Hamill, 88-year-old rural Adair resident, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 15, 1936, in Adair to Wilmer Louis Hamill and Juanita (Petty) Hamill. When he was 12 years old, his parents moved to Indiana, Bob was a 1954 graduate of Yorktown High School. He farmed with his family many years in Indiana, they also had a laundry and ice cream store in the Rushville area. On September 22, 1957, Bob married the love of his life, Linda K. (Koontz) in Yorktown, Indiana. They lived and worked in Indiana until 1990, when they moved to Adair. Bob went to work driving a truck for Roy Hamill. He drove for over 25 years before retiring. One of his most important things Bob and Linda did was have a prison ministry, both in Indiana and at the NOCC in Oklahoma. They ministered to the inmates for several years in Indiana, then over 15 years in Oklahoma. Bob was an active member of the Adair Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Hamill in January of 2021, his parents, and one brother, Eddie Hamill.

The family includes his daughters, Jodie Yoon and husband Michael of Middletown, Ohio, Cindy Naas and husband Larry of Adair, Connie Wissel and husband Dennis of Oldenberg, Indiana, a son, Randy Hamill and wife Becky of Adair, grandchildren, Kelly and Macy Naas, Cory and Holly Disbro, Haylee, Brianna, Kylee, Brycen, and Avery Hamill, and one great-grandchild, Harper Disbro, numerous other relatives and friends.

The celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Adair Methodist Church, with Pastor Steve Bear officiating. Interment will follow at the Old Adair Cemetery west of Adair. Online condolences may be made at www.stephens-key.com or on the funeral home Facebook page.
