Geneva Mae Chenvert
February 29, 1940 - October 18, 2025

Geneva Mae Chenvert was born on February 29, 1940, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Liney and Leo Tilley. She was raised and attended school in Prue, Oklahoma. Following high school, Geneva attended Northeastern State University and graduated with both a Bachelors and Masters a degree in music education. She taught music in Tulsa, Little Kansas, Wichita, and Salina, Oklahoma. Geneva retired from teaching in 2006.

Geneva was married to Charles Chenvert on March 11, 2006, in Adair, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Adair. Geneva was a member of the Adair United Methodist Church. She was a very good Christian woman. The kindness she had for others was always evident. She loved everyone and would try to get them saved and to attend church. She often hosted Bible studies and enjoyed talking to Jesus.

Some of Geneva's favorite activities included reading, spending time with her family, and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Geneva departed this life on October 18, 2025, at her home in Adair, at the age of 85. She is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Shanna (Robert) Williams; sister, Charlotte Loomiller; grandchildren: Cassidy (Corey) Vincent, Cole (Leah) Thompson, and Caylee Thompson; great-grandchildren: Houston, Dallas, Beau, Meadow, and Lela; as well as sister-in-law, Diane Tilley.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, Liney and Leo Tilley, her first husband of over forty years, Dixie Mitchell; and brother, Sammy Tilley.
