Marie Bell Harris
November 21, 1931 - May 5, 2026

Marie Bell Harris was born on November 21, 1931, to Archie and Lela (Louder) Hall in Hulbert, Oklahoma. She passed away on May 5, 2026, in Pryor, Oklahoma at the age of 94.

Marie grew up and attended school in Hulbert, Oklahoma before moving to Salina, Oklahoma in 1958. On July 21, 1959, she married the love of her life, James "Bud" Harris in Miami, Oklahoma.

She enjoyed working all her life. She worked as a waitress at the Pilgrim House and as a cook for Salina Public Schools. She also worked at Harris Lakeshore Park for several years. She was a faithful member of Salina First Baptist Church since 1958. She loved all her Sunday school sisters very much.

Marie loved watching OKC Thunder basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball, she rarely missed a game. She also loved working in her flower garden. More than anything, Marie loved traveling and spending time with her family. She loved her family very much and had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, granny, sister, aunt and friend and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by two sons, Bill and wife Darlene of Rattan, Oklahoma and Calvin Foster of Salina, Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Foster of Broken Arrow; one special bonus daughter, Becky Wilson; one sister, Maye Dill of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one brother-in-law, Don Naugle of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Katina, Shannon, Rusty, Miranda, Angie and Jennie; eight nieces and two nephews; thirteen great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren, with one on the way. A special thank you to Shelly from Avondale Cottage for sharing her grandchildren, Evelyn and Luna, who also called her granny.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud, of forty-eight years, who preceded her in 2007; one son, Lonnie Foster, who preceded her in 2022; one stepson, Jim Harris who preceded her in 2025; two sisters, Ruth Gritts and Faye Naugle and two brothers-in-law, Joe Gritts and Leo Dill.
