Wanda Faye Milligan
August 4, 1947 - March 17, 2026

Wanda Faye (Pilant) Milligan, 78, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on August 4, 1947, to Rev. Elmer and Polly (Howell) Pilant. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at church camp as a young teenager and was baptized by her dad and joined Cole Freewill Baptist Church in Pryor. Wanda graduated from Pryor High School and worked for Southwestern Bell in Independence, Mo. Following that chapter of her life, she married Roland Milligan and the raised two children, Greg and Brittney. Wanda devoted herself wholeheartedly to her husband and children, spending many years as a homemaker and tending to the needs of her family.

She loved and cherished both Greg and Brittney. She always looked with anticipation for Greg's visits and his phone calls. She dedicated her life loving and caring for Brittney.

Wanda found joy in life's simple pleasures, whether it was reading a good book or spending time with her extended family, her four sisters and six brothers not to mention her nephews and nieces. She was loved and cherished by her whole family. She will be remembered as a loving and caring woman with a gentle spirit and kind heart who spent her life sacrificing for those she loved.

Wanda is survived by her son Greg of Independence, MO, daughter, Brittney of the home. Three brothers, Leon Pilant and wife (Sharon) of Salina, OK, Richard Pilant and wife (Kathy) of Artesia NM; Jerold Pilant and wife (Linda) of Pryor, OK and sister-in-law, Sue Pilant of Broken Arrow, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Polly Pilant; husband, Roland Milligan. Siblings, Velda Dennis and husband (Truman); Jean Lavaughn Driscoll and husband (Don); Harold Dean Pilant and wife (Stephanie); Ruby Irene Haley and husband (Ron); Bill Ray Pilant; Bobby Lee Pilant; and Velma Echols and husband (Jim).

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Oklahoma with Pastor Andy Pilant officiating. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
