Linda Louise Kennedy, born on April 17, 1950, in Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, at her home in Chouteau, Oklahoma. She was a beloved family figure, known for her warm heart and vibrant spirit.
Throughout her life, Linda embraced a variety of interests that enriched her days and those around her. She had a love for softball. Additionally, Linda was musically inclined; she played the piano and organ at her church, and her talent extended to the accordion. Cooking was another one of her passions, and she relished the time spent in the kitchen preparing meals for her family, always creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Above all, Linda treasured being surrounded by her loved ones, valuing the moments spent with her family.
Linda is survived by her sons, Christopher Kennedy and wife Paula of Eaton, Colorado, and Timothy Kennedy of Chouteau, Oklahoma; daughter, Jennifer Kennedy of Chouteau, Oklahoma; brothers, Peter Ramey and wife Donna of Morino Valley, California, and Philip Ramey and wife Ina of Fullerton, California; along with her 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lavern and Guadalupe; husband, Marvin Kennedy; daughter, Sandra Kennedy; and grandsons, T.J. and Toby.
Funeral services for Linda will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerold Pilant officiating. Interment will follow at the Chouteau West Cemetery with Chris Kennedy, Tim Kennedy, Nathan Kennedy, J.R. Bond, Jason Bond, and Shane Kyle serving as casket bearers. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor.
