Joyce Ann French Kenedy

Joyce Ann Kenedy, 87, of Madill, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Family Care Center in Kingston, Oklahoma. She was born on August 10, 1937, in Woodville, Oklahoma, to the late George Noah French and Edith Inez Everett French. Joyce graduated from Kingston High School as valedictorian in 1955. On March 15, 1956, she married Elgain Daniel Kenedy, in Madill and they shared 50 years of marriage before his passing on August 15, 2006. A woman of deep faith, Joyce was a devoted member of Grantham Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she joyfully led the congregation in singing. She retired from Landmark Bank in Madill after 30 years of dedicated service. Joyce found joy in quilting, crocheting, reading, and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her warmth, love, and strong spirit touched all who knew her.

Children: Eddie Kenedy and wife Kim of Madill, Oklahoma
Gary Kenedy of Madill, Oklahoma
Debra Boyd and husband Ron of Mannsfield, Texas
Brother: Bill French and wife Mary, Luella, Texas
Sisters: Sue Stafford of Celina, Texas
Bennie Tilley, Kingston, Oklahoma
Betty Ryals, Denham Springs, Louisiana
Doris Mendoza, Arlington, Texas
6 grandchildren: Wesley Holcomb and wife Amy, Cody Vandeventer, Kayla Burnett and husband Matt, Katie Nelson and husband David, Jeremy Snider, and Eric Kenedy
11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her granddaughter Suzy Boyd.
