Jimmie Don Forguson

Jimmie Don Forguson, 78, of Russett, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on February 10, 1947, in Willis, Oklahoma, to C.B. Forguson and Margie Irene (Gray) Forguson. Jimmie grew up in Russett, where he attended school, and graduated from Mannsville High School in 1965. He later attended Murray State College and Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Jimmie worked as a farmer for many years, raising cattle and crops, and served with the Oklahoma Wildlife Department. A man of many talents, he enjoyed hunting, reloading shells, building hot rods, and working as a mechanic, always fixing or creating something with his hands. On April 18, 1975, Jimmie married Melva Kathryn (Rood) and together they built their home in Russett.

He is survived by

Jonna V. Culp and husband Joe Hoilman of Ardmore
Carla K. Newsom and husband Andrew of Edmond
Sisters: Linda Bryant and husband Johnny of Ardmore
Sharon Draper and husband Arnold of Russett
Grandchildren: Jeffery A. Culp, Hunter Ashlyn Forguson, Chloe Don Forguson,
Chase Brandon Forguson, Amira Newsom
Great Grandchildren: Bently Allen Culp and Brooklyn Kay Culp

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Patsy Hedden.
