Kenneth A. Byrd, of Lawton, Oklahoma died March 25, 1981 at 3:45 a.m. in the Comanche County Memorial Hospital, Lawton, Oklahoma after a short illness.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 27, 1981 at 1:00 p.m. in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Lawton, with the Rev. Bill Turman officiating.
Burial was in the Woodberry Forest Cemetery in Madill, Oklahoma under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.
He was born July 1, 1909 in Madill, Oklahoma and has lived in Lawton since 1977, coming here from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was a former sales manager for Gibson Meat Company of Lawton.
He was married to Robbie R. Simmons, December 16, 1934 in Ada, Oklahoma.
Mr. Byrd was a member of the Village Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Survivors inclucde his wife, Mrs. Robbie R. Byrd of the home; one son, Bill Byrd, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Victor Byrd, Madill, Oklahoma; Dr. T. A. Byrd, McAlester, Oklahoma; and Randolph Byrd, California; one sister, Mrs. Lena Clay Dragoney, Pheonix, Arizona; two grandchildren; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.
