Services for David Thomas, 55, of Kingston, who passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in Denton, Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Coffey-Murray Funeral Chapel in Durant. Rev. David Boutwell will officiate.

David was born on Wednesday, May 13, 1953, in Vivian, La., to Isaac and Marie (Thomas) Thomas. He married Rebecca Bratcher on May 25, 1998, in Kingston. David was a machinest in the oil field. He loved fishing, gardening and hunting. He was also good at canning.

David was preceded in death by his father.

David is survived by his wife of the home, his mother, sons, David Neal Thomas, Jr. and Joseph Thomas; daughters Michelle Mathis, Lisa Marie Timmons, LaTisha Thomas, Tiffany Amix, Kristen Thomas and Madison Sedrick; stepson Tommy Morgan; stepdaughters Amy Morgan and Tamarra Sedrick; brothers Kenneth, Ronnie, Randall, Jerry, Michael and Carl Thomas; sisters Linda Allison, Janet Jones, Debra Givens and Rena Scafella; 20 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Pallbearers will be Tommy Morgan, Austin Eustes, Marvin McDaniel, Sr., Marvin McDaniel, Jr., Rusty Brown and Mike McGill.

Interment will take place at Willis Cemetery in Willis.

Family hour will be 7-8 p.m., Tuesday at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home.

Coffey-Murray Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
