Frankie Eveline Massey was born on December 12, 1933, in Oklahoma.  She passed away on December 16, 2022, in Georgetown, TX.

Eveline grew up in the Willis and Durant area.  She graduated from Cobb High School.  On May 1, 1953, at Brown Baptist Church, Eveline married her Cobb High School sweetheart, Samuel Barton Massey and moved to Texas.  Barton and Eveline grew up during the great depression and learned to never take things for granted.  They were both extremely hard working and loved helping others.  They lived in Sierra Blanca for 4 years, Sanderson for 45 years and San Angelo for 9 years.  Together, they ran a gas station and restaurant in Sanderson, TX for over 20 years.

After retiring, Barton and Eveline moved to San Angelo, TX, where they made many friends and were active members of their church.  They would participate in weekly game nights and fully enjoyed life.  Barton and Eveline were inseparable and loved each other deeply.  They enjoyed spending time with their family and took their grandchildren on multiple trips throughout Texas and New Mexico.  The family finds comfort knowing that Eveline has been reunited with the love of her life and her health has been fully restored.

Eveline is survived by daughter: Wynne Cooke and husband, Darrell of Georgetown, Texas; Son: Randy Massey and wife, Mary Beth of Georgetown, Texas; Grandson:            Justin Cooke and wife, Ellen. Great-grandchildren: Marshall, Brielle, and Connor of Wichita, Kansas. Granddaughter Kelsey Vargas and husband, Gilbert. Great-grandchildren: Troy, and Eli of Woodway, Texas.

Eveline is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Samuel Barton Massey; Mother, Mattie Morriss; Father, Edgar Morriss; and Sister, Betty Tynes.
