Micheal Anthony Barker

September 12, 1960 ~ August 21, 2003

Graveside services for Micheal Anthony Barker, 42, of Tom Bean, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 25 at Shay Cemetery in rural Marshall County with Mike Rice officiating.

Mr. Barker was born September12, 1960, in Setayton, Oregon, the son of Lois and Selma Richard Barker. He died on Thursday, August 21, 2003, at his residence in Tom Bean.

He was raised in the Lebanon area and had been a resident of Tom Bean for the past seven years. He was known to his friends as "Mike, the horse trader."

Survivors include two daughters and son-in-law, Traci and Cody Simmons of Waurika, and Staci Barker of Tishomingo; three brothers and sister-in-law, Hank Barker of Ardmore, Wain Barker and Randy and Dede Barker, all of Lebanon; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Tricia and Chris Carol Soelberg of Ardmore; one granddaughter, and a very special niece, Susan Rice.

Honorary bearer was his best friend, Darren Gracy.

Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
