Patsy “Pat” Gayle Stoolz, 86, of Oklahoma City, OK, passed away and joined her heavenly father on June 21, 2021.

Pat was born December 4, 1934 in Kingston, Oklahoma to Roy and Irene Carey. Pat grew up in Kingston, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school. After graduating, Pat attended East Central College in Ada, Oklahoma. In 1954, Pat met Jack Allen Stoolz and fell head over heals in love. They were married on August 1st, 1954 and have been married for over 65 years. Pat and Jack have 3 children, Patti, Cindy & Mark. Pat followed in the footsteps of her Aunt and wanted to be a school teacher. Pat pursued a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree from Central State University. Pat received her first teaching job at Myers Elementary in Yukon, Oklahoma in which she started their Learning Lab. Her next teaching job was at Rollingwood Elementary School in Oklahoma City, OK teaching 5th grade. Pat was chosen by the faculty of Rollingwood as the Teacher of the Year in 1983 – 1984. She completed her teaching career at Rollingwood Elementary after 23 years. Pat enjoyed trips with Jack and with her Aunt Velma and friend Kirby. She also loved going on Cruises with her friends and helping teach arts and crafts to the people traveling on the ship. Pat enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing the piano and singing in the church choir. Pat was a devout Christian and loved everyone as Christ has loved us. Pat was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother. God, Faith and Family were the values she instilled in all those around her.

Pat is survived by her husband Jack Allen Stoolz, daughter Patti Carlisle and husband Jim, daughter Cindy Barnes and husband Clyde, son John Mark Stoolz, brother Joe Carey, grandchildren Jason Ryan and wife Amy, Justin Baylor and wife Amanda, Blake Baylor, Cassidi Kennedy, Melissa Colbert & Tani Wall, great grandchildren – Kylie Dixon and husband Zach, Kyrsten Ryan, Jack Ryan, Brooklynn Baylor, Braelynn Baylor, Alyssa Wall, Zach Wall, Lydia Wall, Gavin Wall, and Alaysia Colbert. She is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and her dear lifelong friend Tommie Nell Flegal.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father and stepmother, Irene Carey, Roy Carey and Thelma Carey.

Services will be at Crawford Family Funeral Home on Saturday, Jun 26 at 9:00 a.m. with interment at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Oklahoma.
