Carol Jean Spikes Adams

Carol Jean Adams, 81, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Carol was born on December 23, 1943. Loyd and Alberta Spikes were her parents. Carol spent her early years in Chickasha, Oklahoma before moving to Kingston, Oklahoma during her freshman year of high school. Her parents owned the Fisherman's Cafe and Carol worked there throughout high school. A proud graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 1961, she remained an active member of the Kingston Alumni Association throughout her life. Carol continued her education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Tau and earned a bachelor's degree in physical education. She went on to dedicate 25 years of service to the Oklahoma Department of Human Services where she held many positions, including serving as the County Administrator of Marshall Country for many years. Carol retired from the State in 1993. In 1997, she took on a new venture and became the owner of the Kingston Tag Agency until she sold it. During her life, Carol was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church, Kingston School Board, Business and Professional Women, Eastern Star and Kingston Housing Authority. She enjoyed Bunko and game days with friends, tending to her flower beds, and filling her home with plants and laughter. However, Carol's greatest joy was entertaining and spending time with her family.

She is survived by
Children: Toni Dawn Reed and husband Jack, of Tulsa, Oklahoma
Mark Adams and wife Jennifer of Ardmore, Oklahoma
Grandchildren: Elisabeth
Madison
Ally and husband Eric
Tori and fiance' Zach
Kylee
Great Grandchildren: Iris, Rylee, Cazzlee, and Maggie

Carol is preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband, Anthony (Tony) Eugene Adams, whom she married on December 27, 1976, in Kingston. He passed away on December 9, 2006.
