When the girls were little, South Fork became one of their yearly vacation spots, as well as his get away with his brothers for their hunting trips. He also enjoyed lazy fishing days with his family at local lakes and quiet morning hunts out in the woods. When not out hunting or fishing, you would find him out on a tracker or working on some kind of equipment.

As Jimmy retired, he continued to enjoy his time farming and working on equipment. When not busy, he loved sitting outside visiting with friends and having coffee. He was always quick to have a story or joke.
