Pleasant Hill Cemetery


Moselle B. Coonfield went to be with her loving husband on Mon., Feb. 28, 2005. She was born Feb. 18, 1919 in Grant, OK to Claude C. and Tommie Collins Biard.

She married Hugh Arley Coonfield on Aug. 28, 1940. Moselle received her BA from OSU and her Master's from UCO. She was a teacher in the Putnam City Schools for 30 years, a longtime member of Putnam City Christian Church and a member of the Quilting Society. She is preceded in death by her husband, mother and father.

She is survived by two sons, Hugh and Ted Coonfield; one daughter, Martha Ward; two daughters-in-law, Heidi Coonfield and Meg Nightingale; five grandchildren, Marlowe Ward, Andrew Coonfield, Josh Coonfield, Matthew Berning, Joel Berning, and two great grandchildren, Emma and Stephen. She made 125 quilts and gave them all away to those she loved. Friends and relatives are asked to bring quilts she made to the funeral for display.

Services will be Thurs., March 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Putnam City Christian Church with interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Meno, OK. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Putnam City Christian Church, 4215 Grove St., OKC, OK 73112.

Services were under the direction of Mercer Adams Funeral Home.
