The graveside services celebrating and honoring the life of James Edward "Jim" Ross, 72, of Okeene, will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 24, 2022, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Meno, Oklahoma with Reverend Earl Eskue officiating under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Jim was born August 21, 1949, to Willis Carl and Rose Marie (Bradley) Ross in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed from this life April 20, 2022, at his home in Okeene, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Harrah, Oklahoma graduating from Harrah High School, where he played football. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He then attended the University of Texas where he continued playing football. He returned to Oklahoma and worked as a petroleum Engineer. He worked in the field until he was medically disabled in 2004. He married Gladys Eargle in August of 2003, in Enid, Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting knives; he absolutely loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and waving at all of the kids and neighbors from his porch, he was always willing and ready to make a new friend.

He is survived by his wife Gladys Eargle, of the home, Three daughters Natalie Ross, of Enid, Toni Windle, of Okeene, and Kristy Lorenz husband Kendall, of Isabella; one son, Jake Ross, of Oklahoma City; eleven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two brothers, Gary Ross, of Harrah, and Randy Ross, of Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Amy Ross.
