Vernard and Ruby KOEHN

New Hopedale Cemetery

A Celebration of Life for Ruby Lee Koehn, age 97, of Enid, is 10:30 am, Friday, July 27, 2018 at New Hopedale Mennonite Church of Meno, with Reverend James Suderman to officiate. Burial will follow in New Hopedale Mennonite Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Ruby Lee Koehn went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, July 21, 2018. She was born November 17, 1920 to Jake and Amelia (Becker) Koehn in Goltry, Oklahoma. She married and was a faithful wife to Vernard Koehn on November 12, 1939. Ruby loved her family, embroidery, quilting, gardening, and cooking. She was a member of New Hopedale Mennonite Church and enjoyed many years serving her church as Sunday school teacher, singing in the choir, and ladies mission society. Some priorities in her home were faith in Christ, importance of daily devotional time, regular attendance of worship and to be willing to serve where needed, along with hard work.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Amelia Koehn, her husband, Vernard Koehn; six siblings, Marvin, Virgil, Bernice, Orville, Bobbie, whose wife Nancy preceded him in death; and Leonard Koehn. She and Vernard had five sons and are survived by a large family; Jerry Koehn and wife Donna of Enid; Dale Koehn and wife Vernelle, of Hesston, KS; Verlin Koehn and wife Verna, of Enid; Bob Koehn of Elk City; Glenn Koehn, of Meno; ten grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a brother Howard Koehn of Newton, KS; and sister Mildren Koehn of Wichita, KS.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hopedale Mennonite Church or the New Hopedale Mennonite Church Cemetery with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made and services viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
