April 30, 1932 - February 27, 2023

Donald Lee Walker, 90, of Chester, OK passed from this life on Monday, February 27, 2023 in Vici, Oklahoma. He was born on April 30, 1932 to James "Jim" and Gladys Walker in Waynoka, OK.

Donald grew up in the Waynoka area, where he helped his family with farming. He joined the United States Navy on December 13, 1955 and served on the USS Carpenter until his honorable discharge on September 11, 1957. On March 14, 1959 he was married to Roberta Mae Patterson at the Davis Park Christian Church in Enid, OK. The couple first made their home in Waynoka, before moving to Cedardale, OK in 1962, and Chester, OK in 1966 where they lived until her death on May 26, 2003. Donald then married Patricia Hope (Boyington) on April 29, 2009 at the First Christian Church in Seiling, OK. The couple farmed and ranched in the Chester area until Donald's health declined. Donald was a member of the First Christian Church and Gideons chapter of Woodward, served several positions with the Seiling-Chester Senior Citizen's Center, lead the Liberty Cemetery Board, and drove a bus for the school.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Jim Walker and Gladys Walker-Riley, and wife Roberta Walker.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Walker of the home; four siblings, Imodean Keller of Woodward, Orville Walker of Enid, Wilma Hutchison of Waynoka, and Patricia Jamison of Woodward; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Liberty Cemetery north of Chester, OK.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gideon's WWD, First Christian Church of Seiling, or Seiling/Chester Senior Citizens Center C/O Redinger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Seiling, Ok 73663.
