Nicholas Gene Weems
February 10, 1990 - December 25, 2011

FAIRVIEW - Service for Nicholas Gene Weems, 21, of Fairview, will be 10 a.m. today, Dec. 29, 2011, at Fairview Church of the Nazarene. Jason Quiring will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Nick was born in Enid, Okla., on Feb. 10, 1990, to Melissa Vione Weems and passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, in Fairview, Okla.

Nick attended school in Fairview. While in school, he played football and was on the track team. After high school, he went to work in the oil field. He also worked as a CNA at Liberty Health Care. Nick loved to fish, hunt, go-off roading, enjoyed camping and being with family and friends. Although life was short for Nick, he enjoyed it to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother and father, Melissa and Chad Durdin of Fairview; sister, Brandie and Andrew Whiteneck of Alva; brother, James "JP" Peters of Kansas; grandparents, Judy and Bob Midyett of Fairview and Sammie and O.W. Durdin of Nixa, MO; great-grandmother, Adeline Koehn of Fairview; two uncles, Darryl Weems of Fairview and Scotty Durdin of Canon, Colo.; two aunts, Amy Midyett of St. Joseph, MO, and Stacy Danner of Kansas City. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jackie Weems, and great-grandfather Alfred Koehn.
