Funeral services for Jimmie Dale Schmidt, 72, of Fairview are set for March 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the Fairview Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, Oklahoma. Pastors Ricky Chance and Chuck McKinney will officiate. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Family viewing will be 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, East of Fairview.

Jimmie Dale Schmidt was born in Fairview, Oklahoma on August 5, 1945 to David Alfred and Vivian Eileen (Nightengale) Schmidt. He went to be with his Lord on March 17, 2018.

Jim worked for W.B. Johnston Grain for 38 years. He also retired from the Fairview Fire Department after 20 years of service. Jim was a faithful member of the Fairview Church of the Nazarene and served as Sunday School Superintendent for 38 years.

Surviving him is his wife, Betty, son Corey, daughter Andrea, grandchildren Rebekah, Parker and Tobias, two sisters; Bonnie and Roger George and Betty and Steve Brinson, three brothers; Bill and Carla Schmidt, David and Jo Schmidt and Richard and Cynthia Schmidt and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fairview Church of the Nazarene or the Fairview Firefighters Association with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
