Visitation will be Wednesday, January the 4th, 2023, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fairview Funeral Home Inc.

Sharie Elaine Grabow Smith was born October 21, 1954, in Enid, Oklahoma to Henry Walter and Rachel Ann Grabow. She departed this life on December 29, 2022.

She was raised on the farm south of Canton. She attended Canton Public School where she loved to play basketball and made it to the state tournament multiple times before graduating with the class of 1972.

Upon graduation, she attended college in Tonkawa for a short time before beginning her career in banking at Community State Bank of Canton, OK as well as the branch in Longdale.

On April 7, 1984, she married Bobby Dean Smith. They made their home west of Fairview, OK. In 1988, together they welcomed their long-awaited daughter Carri. Once Carri started school, Sharie wanted to be closer to Fairview, so she took a job at Farmers and Merchants bank in Fairview, OK, where she worked for many years. She also worked at Community National Bank in Fairview, OK for a few years. The last few years she worked for the Major County Election Board.

She always looked forward to the trips that her and Bobby took to many LMA events across the US as well as their trips to the NFR. She was always up for an adventure. One of the LMA trips consisted of a Segway tour, one was a hot air balloon ride, and the thriller one was skydiving.

Her best times in life were spent traveling with family and friends, especially with her lifelong friends Jerry and Cathy Kammerer. She loved sewing, craft projects and took many classes at the Vo-Tech because she loved learning new things. She worked tirelessly in her yard because she loved being outdoors.

She is survived by her daughter, Carri and husband Terry Pike of Fairview; two grandchildren, Kinsley and Weston; one sister, Cleta Becker of Fairview; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by husband, Bobby Smith, parents, Henry and Rachel Grabow, four sisters, Henrietta Shaw, Kathern Unwin, Patricia Laubach Bowers, Berniece Olson, one brother, Walter Ray Grabow.
