Graveside memorial service for Janice Elaine Schnaithman, will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, May 14 at the Fairview Cemetery. Reverend David Gordon officiating. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc.

Janice Schnaithman, known locally as Jan T-M, passed from this earthly life at the age of 71 in Fairview, Oklahoma. Born and raised in Enid, Jan was the elder of two daughters born to Phillip and Rayola Tinsley.

Jan attended Enid Public Schools, then Northwestern University in Alva and received her BS from Phillips University in Enid. She later completed her MS in psychology.

In the 1980's, Jan and Rayola moved to Fairview, the childhood home of her mother. For several years they continued the operation of the 88 Ranch west of town. Jan became a dispatcher for Fairview's EMS and later the Police department.

Jan had a big heart and would do anything she could to help others in the community. She organized fundraisers, wrote grants, arranged Christmas Angel Tree donations for children in need, as well as helping many individuals privately. She touched many lives and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her mother, Rayola (Gaunt) Roads, Jan remained in Fairview until her death.

She is survived by her sister, Beverly Iliff (Robert) of Tulsa, and her cousin Kenneth Gaunt (Waynette) of Menifee, CA..

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church in Fairview.

Condolences may be made on line at www.fairviewfuneralhomeinc.com.
